Liturgy of the Word - cycle of readings during the celebration of the Eucharist (Holy Sacrifice of the Mass)
Meditation - thought prayer which includes the following:
1. direction or reasoning as to the purpose of one's prayer
2. analysis of concepts or picturing what one thinks about in relation to God
3. comparison or comparing one's thought with what is pictured in the mind
4. affections or desire in the mind
5. resolution or the resolve to accept and follow the thought of God and His love

Meditation ends in a communion or inner joy with God.
